Old Song Do You Love Me Now and Again in an Easy Way
Picture this: You've orchestrated the perfect at-habitation date for your significant other, featuring candles, wine, and a lovingly home-cooked (or lovingly ordered via app) dinner. Just merely as your person texts you that they're on their way, you realize that you lot have no idea what sort of music to play to retain the romantic ambient. After all, you can't have your early 2000s guilty pleasure songs come up on shuffle while you're trying to stare lovingly into your partner'due south optics (nix ruins the mood like the distinctive "youuuuuu" at the starting time of "Soulja Boy." And yes, that example is based on a true story).
Anyway, I've got yous covered with my listing of the almost cute, hopeful, and achingly romantic songs ever written (in my humble opinion). You'll accept your crush/partner/Bumble date swooning.
"ROS" - Mac Miller
Most romantic lyrics: "I'm in your center, I'm in your dream/ And so fuck the world it'due south you and me"
Rationale: When the outside world becomes cruel, many couples plough in and develop that usa-against-the-world mindset. In "ROS," Mac Miller captures what it's similar to feel shut to someone, spending much of this song describing the piffling things he loves about his partner, like her "stained glass" optics, butterscotch-scented skin, and kiwi-flavored lips. The lyrics are intimate in every manner, and Mac delivers them with his feature rawness.
"These Arms of Mine" - Otis Redding
Near romantic lyrics: "These arms of mine, they are lonely/ Lonely and feeling bluish/ These arms of mine, they are yearning/ Yearning from wanting you"
Rationale: This song hits me correct in the chest. It's impossible not to experience your arms and breast aching like Reddings' when he sings almost called-for to hold his lover. The music crescendos effectually his smooth vocalisation as he begs, "And if you would let them hold yous/ Oh, how grateful I would exist." Information technology's such a sweetness, earnest plea for love, and its focus on physicality is pretty sexy, likewise.
"Ex Factor" - Lauryn Colina
Nigh romantic lyrics: "Encounter, no one loves you more than me/ and no one e'er will"
Rationale: No 1 knows how to obliterate me emotionally quite similar Lauryn Hill does. In "Ex Cistron" (and on this whole anthology, permit'due south be existent), she'due south vulnerable, baring all her devotion to her beau. We recognize straightaway that her relationship is toxic, but Hill's honesty is so cute that nosotros humble listeners take no pick but to sit down, transfixed, and listen.
"Skinny Love" - Bon Iver
Near romantic lyrics: "Told my beloved to wreck information technology all/ Cut out all the ropes and let me autumn"
Rationale: When this song came out in 2007, I was in middle school. I could not terminate singing it equally I traipsed through my house, nearly-tears as I crooned about "the sink of claret and crushed veneer," as though my twelve years on world had been rife with tragic love affairs.
Nevertheless, this song withal holds up. Bon Iver is a chief at depicting what it's like to fully surrender yourself to someone while aware that they may hurt you in the end. I nevertheless sing this song while I lounge around my trivial studio apartment, drawing on real-life experiences this fourth dimension, though I assure yous that none of them involved blood-filled sinks or crushed veneers.
"Leather and Lace" - Stevie Nicks & Don Henley
Most romantic lyrics: "Lovers forever, face to face/ My city, your mountains/ Stay with me, stay/ I need you to love me/ I need you lot today/ Give me to me your leather, have from me my lace"
Rationale: This is Stevie Nicks' lyricism at its virtually poignant. She wrote "Leather and Lace" herself and then performed it with Don Henley (of The Eagles) while they were dating. This duet is cute in and of itself, but their chemistry and passion for each other makes it all the more impactful. An ex played this for me once, unprompted, and I retrieve thinking, My God, dude. Why would you practise this to me?
Wrecked.
The Fashion You Wait Tonight" - Frank Sinatra
Most romantic lyrics: "Lovely, never, never change/ continue that breathless charm/ won't you delight conform it?/ 'Cause I dear yous/ Just the way you look this evening"
Rationale: Ah, yeah. The vocal that plays at every wedding on earth. Popular songs are popular for a reason, though, and this one endures because of the accepting, unconditional sort of dearest that it depicts. In addition to Sinatra'southward version, I'm besides partial to Fred Astaire'due south rendition in the 1936 film Swing Time and the sweet yet tongue-in-cheek visuals proceed with it.
"Everlasting Calorie-free" - The Black Keys
Most romantic lyrics: "Allow me exist your everlasting light/ Your railroad train going away from pain/ Love is the coal that makes this railroad train roll/ Let me exist your everlasting light"
Rationale: If you read the lyrics without the music, the whole song sounds kind of similar a late nineteenth century verse form. The love in this song is so pure and hopeful, and you'll definitely gain cool-points past playing The Black Keys on a first date.
"To Know Him Is To Love Him" - Amy Winehouse
Most romantic lyrics: "To know, know, know him/ Is to beloved, dearest, love him/ Just to come across that smile/ Makes my life worthwhile"
Rationale: No ane does unbridled love like Amy Winehouse. Her soulful vocalization takes centre stage in this Phil Spector embrace, and if yous're not already in love, information technology will make you want to be.
"Like Real People Do" - Hozier
Most romantic lyrics: "I will non ask you lot where you came from/ I will not ask y'all, neither should you/ Honey, but put your sugariness lips on my lips/ Nosotros should just kiss similar real people do"
Rationale: Here, Hozier is trying to convince his love involvement to forget that they both accept pasts (who doesn't?) and to merely love him. There's a sense that both people in the song consider themselves odd in some fashion (again, who doesn't?), and that they've been searching for partners like each other for ages. "Similar Real People Do" reminds united states of america of how miraculous information technology feels to honey and be loved back.
"Can't Take My Eyes Off You" - Franki Valli & The Four Seasons
Virtually romantic lyrics: "Y'all're merely also good to be true/ Tin can't take my eyes off of you/ You'd be like heaven to bear upon/ I wanna hold you so much"
Rationale: To quote every Boomer from my home country of New Jersey: They just don't brand 'em similar this anymore. And it's true―this song manages to balance emotional and sexual yearning without being rough.
And just... the gratitude Valli feels when he sings almost loving his girl so much that he thanks God he'southward alive. My Lord. They actually simply do not make 'em quite similar this anymore.
"Forrest Gump" - Frank Ocean
Most romantic lyrics: "My fingertips and my lips/ They fire from the cigarettes/ Forrest Gump, you run my listen, boy/ Running on my mind, boy"
Rationale: This is Frank Ocean's most criminally underrated song and I will fight anyone who has annihilation negative to say nigh it. In fact, I once fabricated a very loud, spirited defense of this song when I was in high school, right after Ocean's ill-received performance of information technology at the 2013 Grammys.
The song is told from the perspective of Jenny in the 1994 picture Forrest Gump. It'south about a broken, tired person coming back to their pure, enduring beloved after a great deal of time has passed. It'southward particularly meaningful, in my opinion, because Ocean penned the song in the wake of his very public coming-out.
"Take Me The Style I Am" - Ingrid Michaelson
About romantic lyrics: "'Crusade I dearest you more than than I could ever promise/ And you take me the way I am"
Rationale: What a throwback! Ingrid Michaelson was responsible for some of the sweetest manic-pixie-dream-girl love songs of the early 2000s, and this one was her virtually popular. Michaelson rejoices in having constitute a partner who loves her, flaws and all, and she responds in kind, promising to repair what her partner breaks and buy him Rogaine when his pilus starts falling out. It's a hope to beloved someone forever.
"I'm Not Expressionless" - P!nk
Most romantic lyrics: "Right beyond the cigarette and the devilish smile/Y'all're my cleft of sunlight/ You can practise the math a thousand ways/ Just yous can't erase the facts/ That others come and others go/ But you always come back"
Rationale: This is my favorite era of P!nk'southward music. In "I'one thousand Not Dead," she writes a frank, unapologetic love song about existence a flawed human deeply in dearest with another flawed human being. Waxing poetic about her and her young man's (her hereafter husband, Cary Hart, by the mode) tattoos and alluding to her ain mental illness, P!nk eschews all tired clichés about honey in favor of something far more than authentic and affecting.
"Hannah Chase" - Vampire Weekend
Most romantic lyrics: "A man of faith said hidden eyes could run across what I was thinkin'/ I only smiled and told him/ That was only true of Hannah"
Rationale: Oh, Ezra Koenig, how you lot wound me with your beautiful words! In this song, our narrator seems to be moving around the U.S. with his beloved Hannah until she grows homesick for the east coast. Having lived in New England for effectually 7 years, I'm partial to this song for its "freezing beaches" references, but information technology's also a gentle tribute to the manner fourth dimension glides abroad when yous're with someone you dearest.
"A Song For Y'all" - Donny Hathaway
Near romantic lyrics: "I dearest you in a identify/ Where there's no space or fourth dimension/ I honey you for my life/ You're a friend of mine/ And when my life is over/ Recollect when we were together"
Rationale: In that location take been many versions of this song, but this one's my favorite. It was as well Amy Winehouse'south favorite. Donny Hathaway sings this with such feeling that 1 can't assist just experience he's reciting a memoir when he sings his apology to a adult female he neglected to settle down with because he was too busy performing around the globe.
"Maps" - Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Most romantic lyrics: "Don't devious/ My kind'south your kind/ I'll stay the same."
Rationale: Yes, this song is 90 percentage just Karen O singing "Look, they don't love y'all like I love you lot," but it'southward so powerful! If yous say something the right way, and the accompanying music is practiced enough, there'due south no need to embellish much more. Proof: Beyoncé clearly nods to this song in her 2022 unmarried "Agree Up." "Maps" endures, over a decade later, across genres.
"If I Ain't Got You" - Alicia Keys
Most romantic lyrics: "Some people want diamond rings/ Some merely want everything/ But everything means nothing/ If I ain't got you lot"
Rationale: This vocal is all the more touching when you recall that she wrote information technology just as she was first to get famous. She promises that her renown―the fruit of all her labor―along with promises of riches, jewelry, or endless life would all hateful nothing if she didn't accept her man.
"Pine Tree Lines" - Told Slant
Most romantic lines: "I am the daughter my parents made/ Why don't you love me anyway/ 'Cause I love the style you take upwardly space"
Rationale: Devastating genius. Lead singer Felix Walworth delivers this vocal and then earnestly that his vocalization literally cracks during that last line. I've never heard a simpler or more than startlingly accurate depiction of adoration than loving the way someone takes up space.
"Inevitable" - Shakira
Most romantic lyrics: "To be fifty-fifty more than honest/ No i thinks about you/ The fashion I exercise" (Translated from Spanish)
Rationale: Shakira spends most of this song laying out all her imperfections―that she doesn't know how to make coffee, that she doesn't sympathise soccer, that she oversleeps, etc.―and then proceeds to ask her man to dearest her anyway.
"I Constitute You" - Alabama Shakes
Most romantic lyrics: "I recollect all them lonely days/ I traveled out on my own/ And so you brought me everything/ You made my house a habitation"
Rationale: This is a celebration of finally finding your person. And then who better to listen to information technology with than your person? Romantic, indeed.
"Rag Doll" - Franki Valli & The Four Seasons
Almost romantic lines: "I'd change her sad rags/ Into glad rags if I could/ My folks won't let me/ 'Crusade they say that she'southward no skillful."
Rationale: Another Iv Seasons song, yep. I'm from Jersey. Sue me.
Franki Valli declares his unconditional dearest for a girl much poorer than he is, fantasizing about replacing her tattered clothes with lace and finery. In spite of her poverty, he ends the song by crying, "I dearest y'all just the mode you are."
He wants to requite everything to someone who can offer him nothing material. All he wants is her.
"Since I've Been Loving You" - Led Zeppelin
Most romantic lyrics: "But babe, since I've been loving y'all, yeah/ I'm about to lose my worried mind/ Oh, yes"
Rationale: Man, these lyrics look then underwhelming when written downwardly sans musical accompaniment. It'due south tragic.
What makes this song so romantic, to me, is the organ and bass work by John Paul Jones pair with Robert Plant'southward searing vocals. It's a ability blues song that hits y'all right in the gut. If desperate desire were a audio, this would be it.
"You Got Me" - Erykah Badu and The Roots
Most romantic lines: "If you don't worry 'bout where/ I been or who I saw or/ What lodge I went to with my homies/ Baby, don't worry, yous know that you got me"
Rationale: I cried when I saw this alive. Erykah reassures her beau during the chorus that she'll e'er be loyal to him, while Black Thought (lead MC of The Roots) uses his verses to tell the story of a lifelong romance. It's the best honey vocal in hip hop, hands downward.
"(You Brand Me Feel Similar) A Natural Woman - Aretha Franklin
Most romantic lyrics: "When my soul was in the lost and found/ Y'all came forth to claim it/ I didn't know just what was wrong with me/ 'Til your kiss helped me name it"
Rationale: We should heal ourselves rather than expect effectually for someone to heal us, but that doesn't mean that love tin't be a healing feel. It'southward really romantic to give thanks someone for making y'all experience good, and that's precisely what this song (written by the flawless Carole Male monarch) is about.
"Jade" - Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros
Most romantic lyrics: "Nosotros tin can't assist just follow, she's Buddha, just watch her/ She moves like an old gypsy adult female merely swears she'southward a girl/ And all that she asks we'll allow her/ For Jade is the girl of the 60 minutes"
Rationale: Alex Ebert wrote this song for Jade Castrinos when they were both even so dating and all the same the frontpeople of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. The song is a tranquility beloved alphabetic character to Castrinos―you could imagine Ebert singing it to her at dark by the campfire while the rest of the band is asleep (that'southward this ring's vibe, really). It's a shame that we no longer become to picket the sweet human relationship between these talented musicians, just at least nosotros'll always have this hippie love song.
"Wild Horses" - The Rolling Stones
About romantic lyrics: "Graceless lady/ Yous know who I am/ You know I tin can't permit yous/ Slide through my hands/ Wild horses/ Couldn't drag me away"
Rationale: One of the wildest bands of the '60s and '70s too happened to write one of the about poignant songs well-nigh love and devotion. This is about a long, deep intimacy between ii people, and of being physically unable to resist the person yous adore.
"Jim Bogart" - The Front end Bottoms
Most romantic lyrics: "I would sleep better on your floor/ Than I would e'er in my bed/ And if your carpet makes my face crawling/ Information technology'd still be sky in my head"
Rationale: "Jim Bogart" opens with the in a higher place lyrics, sung with lead singer Brian Sella'southward signature raw vocals. He abandons all pride in his love for this daughter, promising to practice his guitar every nighttime, to sleep on her floor without complaint, and to to ignore his doctor's advice―all to win her dearest. We shouldn't accept to debase ourselves for love (*rolls eyes* yep, yeah yeah), but this is fine art. And if we're being honest, this sentiment is relatable for anyone who's prayed for their love to be reciprocated.
"Loving You" - Elvis Presley
Virtually romantic lyrics: "If I'm seen with someone new/ Don't be bluish, don't you exist blue/ I'll be faithful, I'll be true/ Always true, truthful to you"
Rationale: Elvis tells his love not to get jealous or to believe the hype around him and other women, reassuring her that she'southward the i for him. Although multiple sources have claimed that Elvis did, indeed, cheat on his married woman, Priscilla, this remains his sweetest love song.
"Melissa" - The Allman Brothers Ring
Most romantic lyrics: "Knowing many, loving none/ Bearin' sorrow, havin' fun/ Simply back home he'll always run/ To sweet Melissa"
Rationale: Here, the Allman Brothers sing about a traveling musician who can't become over his sweetheart no matter how many other women he meets. She always ends upward resurfacing in his heed, and eventually, he always returns to her.
"My Old Human" - Joni Mitchell
Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "He'due south my sunshine in the morning/ He's my fireworks at the end of the day/ He'due south the warmest chord I ever head/ Play that warm chord, play and stay, baby"
Rationale: Mitchell'southward soaring mezzo-soprano meanders through a portrait of her human relationship in this song, insisting throughout that, "We don't need no piece of newspaper from the city hall." She's saying that she doesn't demand external validation of the relationship―this human being gives her all she needs to feel secure in their bond.
"Devil In a New Dress" - Kanye Due west, Rick Ross
Most romantic lyrics: "Put your hands to the constellations/ The mode you lot look should be a sin, you my sensation"
Rationale: Kanye West is a pretty polarizing figure, but this is all the same 1 of my favorite albums of all fourth dimension. It'due south a bittersweet tribute to his infamous relationship with Amber Rose, and this song encapsulates the often-sexy, ever-complicated connexion betwixt two people who aren't good for each other, yet can't stay away from 1 another.
"Honey of My Life (An Ode to Hip Hop)" - Erykah Badu, Mutual
Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "But that is all backside me/ 'Cause at present at that place is no other/ My love is his and his is mine/ A friend became the/ Love of my life"
Rationale: Conventional advice tells us to autumn in love with someone who tin can be our friend, too. This vocal is about two lifelong best friends who detect their style back to each other later time spent apart. With her famously beguiling vocalisation, Erykah Badu captures the joy of being truly known past ane'south partner.
"A Sunday Kind of Love" - Etta James
Near romantic lyrics: "I want a Sun kind of love/ A honey to concluding by Saturday night/ I want to know it's more than love at get-go sight"
Rationale: We've all been at this point before. If Etta James were to take written this song today, she would have been explaining that she was sick of i-night-stands and Tinder/Bumble/Hinge dates that become nowhere. She'd be saying she was tired of sweaty strangers in confined shouting into her ear, over deafening music, asking if she wants to take a shot.
Instead, she'd want something substantial. Someone to relax and binge Schitt's Creek reruns with on the weekends.
May we all find that Dominicus kind love.

"Infant I'm Yours" - Arctic Monkeys
Most romantic lyrics: "Infant, I'm yours/ And I'll exist yours until the stars fall from the sky/ Yours until the rivers all run dry/ In other words, until I die"
Rationale: This song sounds similar it was written in the '50s or '60s. In some ways, information technology's your run-of-the-manufactory slow song, simply there'southward something charming virtually the Arctic Monkeys beingness the ones to perform this retro pledge of devotion.
"She Volition Be Loved" - Maroon 5
Most romantic lyrics:"I don't mind spendin' everyday / Out on your corner in the pourin' rain"
Rationale:I think listening to this song in heart school, wishing that the male child I had a trounce on would honey me enough to stand up outside my window in the rain. In retrospect, that would accept been awkward and inconvenient to explain to my mother, and these days I would probably observe such behavior creepy (when I'm in my pajamas in my flat, peacefully eating Takis and watching The Sopranos, the last thing I demand is a human standing outside, watching me from the street like something out of The Exorcist), just the sentiment of this vocal all the same stands.
"Because the Night" - Patti Smith
Most romantic lyrics: "Come up on, now, try and understand/ The way I feel when I'g in your hands/ Take my hand, come undercover/ They tin can't hurt you now"
Rationale: In this song, which was originally written by lyrical legend Bruce Springsteen, Smith promises her lover that he'due south safe with her. "La Vie En Rose" - Edith Piaf
Near romantic lyrics: "When he holds me in his artillery/ And he speaks to me softly/ I meet the earth through rose-colored glasses" (Translated from French)
Rationale: You definitely know this song. It's the go-to for every romantic scene in every American movie nearly France. And, granted, it'due south a keen selection for a dinner date, specially if you lot want to get a footling slow dancing started.
"Anytime" - The Growlers
Most romantic lyrics: "Just stay for one more nighttime/ Ane day you're gonna be my wife/ You'll never have to worry again/ I'yard gonna be your man"
Rationale: Information technology sounds lead singer Brooks Nielsen's now-married woman was getting really ill of his bullshit, and that he wrote this song equally a plea to get her to say. It's poetic, energetic, and hopeful, and information technology would have worked on me, too, tbh.
"Wouldn't It Be Nice" - The Embankment Boys
Most romantic lyrics: "Wouldn't it be nice if we were older?/ And then we wouldn't have to look so long"
Rationale: This is sung from the perspective of someone who'due south already certain about who he wants to spend the rest of his life with. And he's wishing that the rest of his life could starting time right now.
"Stay" - Rihanna, Mikky Ekko
Almost romantic lyrics: "Not actually sure how to feel about it/ Somethin' in the mode yous move/ Makes me feel like I can't live without yous"
Rationale: Love isn't a formula. At that place's no real logic to why nosotros fall in love with some people just not others, and Rihanna hits the nail on the caput when she says it's merely "something in the way [he] move[southward]." It's reminiscent of The Beatles' vocal "Something." Speaking of which...
"Something" - The Beatles
Most romantic lyrics: "Something in the manner she moves / Attracts me like no other lover / Something in the way she woos me / I don't want to exit her now"
Rationale:This vocal is a wearisome, dreamy ode on an otherwise bluesy album. George Harrison was the Beatle who penned it, writing that he wasn't certain what exactly triggered his love or whether it would grow. All he knew was that the dearest was there, and that that should exist enough.

"Androgynous" - The Replacements
Most romantic lyrics: "And they honey each other so/ Androgynous/ Closer than we know, dear each other then/ Androgynous"
Rationale: This song is about two non-binary people falling in dear, which is pretty cool for a song from 1984. Our principal characters, archetypically named Dick and Jane, dear each other regardless of gender. The Replacements make a compelling argument about why traditional gender roles and habiliment should brand no difference if y'all're truly in honey with someone.
"I'll Exist Seeing You" - Billie Vacation
Most romantic lyrics: "I'll find you in the morning dominicus/ In every lovely summer'south day/ In everything that's right and gay/ I'll always think of you"
Rationale: Y'all know when yous're freshly in honey (or heartbroken), and everything reminds you of that person? That's what this song is about. Everything around Holiday―the natural world, a park, a buffet, a carousel―is a fond reminder of her beloved.
"Sunday Candy" - Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment
Almost romantic lyrics: "Yous've got to move information technology slowly/ Take it in my trunk like it's holy/ I've been waiting for you for the whole week/ I've been praying for you lot, you're my Sunday candy"
Rationale: The Social Experiment is the hip hop collective that boasts members such as Take a chance the Rapper and Vic Mensa (the old of which is featured heavily on this vocal). Jamila Woods performs the chorus to this song and then sweetly that it'southward piece of cake to forget the sexual implications, and she and Take chances tell the story of a couple that spends a week at a time missing each other, captivated in thoughts of ane some other until they're finally reunited.
"Come As You Are" - Nirvana
Almost romantic lyrics: "Come as you are/ Every bit y'all were/ As I want you to be"
Rationale: At that place are many interpretations of what this vocal means, ranging from mental health to friendship to commentary on inauthenticity. But, to me, "Come As Y'all Are" works equally the ultimate grunge love song; every bit a promise to love and appreciate someone just the way they are.
"Please, Please, Please" - James Brown
Most romantic lyrics: "Baby delight, babe please, please me/ Baby please, baby please don't get/ Don't get, I said infant, don't baby/ I love you and then"
Rationale: This song is almost entirely comprised of James Brown repeating "please," and, supposedly, he got a lot of flack from his producers about that earlier its release. Just, like the Yep Yeah Yeahs' "Maps," this track'south magic lies in the passion with which information technology's delivered–and James Chocolate-brown is nix if non passionate.
"I Volition E'er Love You" - Dolly Parton
Most romantic lyrics: "And I hope life volition treat you kind/ And I hope that you have all/ That you lot ever dreamed of/ Oh, I do wish you joy/ And I wish you happiness/ Merely in a higher place all this/ I wish you love"
Rationale: Without a doubt, y'all're familiar with Whitney Houston'southward rendition of "I Will E'er Beloved Yous," simply I beloved Dolly Parton'due south soft-spoken, country version besides. Where Houston belts, Parton croons, making this a great culling for when yous want to hear this vocal on a quiet evening in.
"Songbird" - Fleetwood Mac
Most romantic lyrics: "And I wish you all the honey in the world/ But most of all, I wish information technology from myself/ And the songbirds keep singing/ Similar they know the score"
Rationale: Fleetwood Mac's members were notorious for hooking up within their ranks, and Christine McVie (author and primary vocalist on this song) was no exception. This is a unique dearest song, because information technology does unconditional love dissimilar any other: Information technology illustrates how it'south entirely possible to love someone and want the best for them while accepting, albeit sadly, that you might not exist that best thing.
"First Twenty-four hours of My Life" - Bright Optics
Most romantic lyrics: "But I realized I need you/ And I wondered if I could come home"
Rationale: This Bright Eyes track makes me wish I was better at playing guitar. Frontman Conor Oberst makes a frank plea for his dear, telling her, "I'grand glad I didn't die before I met you lot," and asking for permission to approach. It's an exercise in startling honesty, and the event, similar the whole anthology, is profound.
"Ocean of Love" - True cat Power
Most romantic lyrics: "Come with me, my dearest/ To the bounding main, the sea of love/ I wanna tell you/ How much I love you "
Rationale: Originally, the last vocal on this list was going to be T.I.'s "Whatever Yous Like" because I'one thousand adamant that it volition play at my wedding 1 day (I'g non kidding), but "Sea of Honey" is too romantic to decline. With minimal instrumentation, Cat Power delivers a brief merely heartfelt love letter of the alphabet whose genius lies in its profound simplicity. 10/10.
